Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what we need to run the club, we use a handful of trusted services to do it, and we never sell your data. Here's the long version.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and name.
- Profile: what you add yourself, like your handle, bio, niche, links and profile photo.
- Activity: what you do in the club, like posts, replies, comments, likes, DMs, lesson progress, call RSVPs, wins you submit, XP, levels and streaks, plus when you were last active.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We see your plan, payment status and a Stripe customer id. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic visit data: on the public join and claim pages we log page views and checkout starts with a random id stored in your browser and the referral tag in the link (like ?ref=). No ad trackers.
- Emails you send us: if you reply to an email or write in, we keep that conversation.
How we use it
- To run your membership: sign-in links, access to your plan, billing, and support.
- To run the community and the game: showing your profile and posts to members, XP, leaderboards, notifications.
- To email you: sign-in links, replies and mentions, call reminders, the weekly digest, and tips and nudges. Everything except sign-in and billing emails can be turned off in Settings.
- To keep the place safe: moderation, spam and abuse prevention.
- To make it better: figuring out which pages and lessons work and which don't.
Who helps us run it
We use these services to operate AI Legends. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Supabase: hosts the database, sign-in and file storage.
- Stripe: processes payments and subscriptions.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- Google Gemini and Anthropic: power AI features like lesson summaries, post helpers and the AI tutor. When you use those, the relevant text (like your question or a lesson transcript) is sent to them to generate an answer.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- We don't share your email with other members. Your DMs are private between you and the person you're talking to, though admins can review them if someone reports abuse.
What other members see
Your display name, handle, photo, bio, links, level, class, achievements and anything you post are visible to other members. Verified money wins only show on the money board if you opt in from Settings.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. If you leave, we keep your account so you can come back where you left off, unless you ask us to delete it. We keep payment records as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- Edit your profile and email settings anytime in Settings.
- Want a copy of your data, or want it deleted? Email jeff@vblty.com from your account email and we'll handle it, usually within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile, posts and activity. Payment records stay with Stripe as required by law.
Kids
AI Legends is for adults. It's not meant for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect data from kids.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes get an email.
